As with all good outings, this evening was not well planned. It started with a few of us getting the idea to go out and try to capture images of iconic Fort Collins- places like Old Town and City Park. Meeting up at 7:30, after flat tires and rushed communication, we made our way to the top of a parking garage in the Old Town Square. With sunset peak at 8:30, we knew we had only a few minutes if we wanted to make it to the park in time. By 8:00 we were on our way, hurrying through the trees and past scootering kids, to the edge of the water. The magic happened when, without any words, we all found our own ways to capture the night. No two of us left there with the same picture. No two of us emulated the others. That, I think, is the best part- the unspoken surge of creativity that drives each of us in our own way.
